The Ashland School District has recently purchased this John Deere wide area mower to replace & augment our aging fleet of traditional mowers.
This larger commercial mower can mow up to 75 acres a day keeping grass pollen and other noxious weeds under control during our prolific spring seasons; making our outdoor spaces safe and enjoyable for student sports, and causal lunchtime recreation.
The newer diesel engine is quieter and more efficient than the older gas mowers of yesteryear. The ECS emissions control system ensures the engine runs as cleanly as possible keeping harmful pollutants out of the air. It also has the ability to run on renewable diesel made from recycled vegetable oil, which could make this mower carbon neutral in the near future.
