Education should provide a basis for life-long learning and students should find their passions and become caring, well informed citizens. Teachers, parents, and students work together in an academic environment that encourages responsibility, caring, curiosity, and integrity.

Willow Wind classes are designed to provide challenging academic opportunities for each student. Students are encouraged to work hard within a nurturing atmosphere. A strong emphasis is placed on imparting the skills needed to succeed academically and intellectually. Students are taught to think independently and logically, write and speak with clarity and develop pride in their efforts. Within the academic program, students are encouraged to ask questions, take risks, and develop a genuine love of learning.

One of the goals at Willow Wind is to offer choices and opportunities for students to explore different facets of each subject. Each student creates a schedule of classes that meets their individual academic needs. Because many of the traditional academic subjects are structured as individual classes, students can choose classes that meet their abilities, not just their grade level. Students enrolled in the Parent Partner Program, also have the opportunity to benefit from individual or group tutoring if it would best meet their needs.
