Monday - Friday 7:45am-4pm, every day that school is open.
AMS features an "open-access" library. Students may come to the library any time it is open - whether individually, in small groups, or with their entire class - to check out and return materials, to read for pleasure or information, or to research topics using a variety of resources for school projects.
 

Check out Policies

Check-Out Time Limit:
Students may keep items for two weeks. Students are encouraged to return the items to the library as soon as they are finished so other students can enjoy them as well.

Overdue Fines:
There are no fines; however, students must return overdue items before new items may be checked out.

Lost Books:
Students who lose or damage books beyond repair will be charged the replacement cost of the book. Students who habitually lose books will be limited to only checking out one book at a time.
 

Making Good Choices and Intellectual Freedom

The AMS library program strives to teach our students to be independent and responsible readers and consumers of information. If you notice your child is bringing home materials that you feel are inappropriate or at too high or too low a level of difficulty, please discuss this with your child and come see us.
