Happy Pride Month Ashland High School from the Queer-Straight Alliance! Thank you all for making our school a safe, respectful and inclusive space for everyone. Please feel free to take one of the little pride flags around the quad if you would like one.
The Spring Art Show is now on display! Free Reception in the upper commons Friday, June 2nd at 5pm. This event is hosted by National Art Honors Society and Sponsored by Ashland High Arts Advocates and Catered by Culinary. The Art Show will be up till June 7th, so come to the commons and check it out! Remember, please don't touch the art; just enjoy Art with your eyes!
Calling all students who are interested in wrestling at Ashland High School, please come by the counseling office on Tuesday June 6th at lunch to meet with coach Alec. Women’s wrestling is also the fastest growing sport in America and is now being sanctioned by OSAA, meaning that we will now have our own team! Please come by the counseling office so that we can gauge interest for both of our teams!
All library books and textbooks are due back by June 6th. Stop by the library to see what's left on your account!

See our flyer in the Grizz-o-gram for more details. June 9th will be our last day of services in the Health Center. We are moving to the English building temporarily while there's construction. Mental Health services will restart the week of June 19th in our new space.

Baseball Semifinals Playoff Game:
Our Ashland Grizzlies will face West Albany today at 4:30 in the semifinals, at West Albany High School!
For those of you that are able to attend in person, tickets will need to be purchased through Hometown Ticketing. Please go to [www.OSAA.org/shop/tickets]www.OSAA.org/shop/tickets for purchase. Spectators will be able to enter the facilities at 3:30. If you are not able to attend in person, the game will be shown through the NFHS Network. . There is a subscription fee of $11.99/month, but this will allow you to watch all playoff baseball games for the state tournament. Good luck to the baseball team.

Attention all Seniors: please join us for the 1st annual AHS College and Scholarship Rejection Party!
What is a rejection party? It's a way to celebrate that you took a risk to apply, got rejected, and are stronger for it! We will also celebrate your next steps after graduation! There will also be cake, because sugar heals all wounds 🙂 Please join us in the Library, happening right now during TCB!
NASU will be hosting a MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women's) awareness event on Wednesday, May 31st, after school on the quad to bring awareness to the thousands of Indigenous young girls and women who have disappeared and shed light on the high rates of violence against women in Native communities. There will be a fry bread fundraiser, speakers, crafts, performances, and community. We hope to see you there!

Our Ashland Grizzlies baseball team will host the La Salle Prep Falcons in the second round of the Baseball State Championships! First pitch is 5:00 pm, today. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children and students. The first 50 students in attendance will get in for free! Tickets can be purchased through the OSAALive Mobile App, HomeTown Ticketing App and, of course, the OSAA tickets page at https://www.osaa.org/shop/tickets.The baseball game will also be streamed through the NFHS Network for a fee. If you already have a subscription to the NFHS Network, you will be able to watch for free as part of your subscription. The NFHS Network will stream all games throughout the entire tournament. Come cheer on our baseball team to victory!
Tonight at 7 p.m. Ashland High School Choir and Theatre will perform their classwork. songs and senior solos as well as three student directed one act plays in Theatre 1/2 and the directing class. Secoya Joquin will also show his animated film! Come enjoy tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m.!

Students interested in metal fabrication can come learn about a summer Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program with Erickson Aviation during TCB today in the library! This six-week apprenticeship will be held two days a week from 3:00-6:00 pm in Central Point and will be hands-on, allowing students to put theory into practice and apply their knowledge in real-world settings that could lead to future jobs.

Math team had a great trip to University of Oregon this past weekend.
Please congratulate these students on attending state and representing Ashland. We are very proud of them!

Raphael , Sayjune , and Olive (AMS)took 4th place in the team event.
Raphael also won the Doritos Ratio Challenge.
Lunch meetings for AP courses will be happening from May 29th-June 7th. If you are enrolled in an AP course for next year, attending the meeting is required to ensure can follow through with the requirements and receive your summer homework assignments. Presented by Black Student Union, Native American Student Union, Latino Student Union, Asian Student Union, Queer-Straight Alliance, and Women's Affinity Group, the event will include delicious food, live performances, and activities. Entry is free, and you can purchase discounted activity tickets on the Quad on Monday and Tuesday at lunch! Students who are registered for free & reduced lunch can pick up free activity tickets at the front office.
Do you need more community service hours for your service learning credit?
• You can earn community service hours at the Solidarity Celebration on Wednesday. Volunteer for any amount of time between 1:00 and 5:30 by contacting Shane Abrams or Kathy Martin before 3:00pm today.

Our girls tennis team took the MWL Championship this past weekend!
Veronica Miller finished 1st, Talia Vivrett and Savannah Witnauer took 1st for doubles, and Frida Salokat and Lola Poujol-vara took 4th.
All five will now compete at the State Tournament, this Friday and Saturday.

If you want to bring a guest to Prom turning in this form is mandatory. All Guest forms are due TODAY no later than 4pm. Late forms will not be accepted. No Exceptions.
A reminder that student parking Is in the lower Mountain lot only. If you are parked anywhere else on campus, you’ll receive a warning and potentially have your car booted. In addition, parking in the fire lane at Lincoln is a safety ordinance violation and will be handled by the City of Ashland. Parking here will lead to towing. Thanks for helping keep campus safe.

Attention Queer Students and Straight Allies, please join us at the Unity Conference at the Ashland Hills Hotel on Tuesday May 23rd. The cost is Free. There will be a bus leaving AHS at 9:00 AM and will be return at 2:00 PM. There will be time to socialize, a free taco bar lunch, free t-shirt, a t-shirt design contest, keynote speaker and more! To register scan the QR code on the posters around campus or the QR code on the flier in the Griz-O-Gram. Permission slips are available with Mr. Joranco (room H-10), with Ms. Floren (room 204) and in the main office. Permission slips must be turned in to Mr. Joranco, Ms. Floren, or the main office no later than May 17th. Hope to see you there!
Are you interested in learning more about potential college pathways? Jen Marsden, AHS College & Career Specialist, will be giving a presentation during TCB on Thursday May 18th in the AHS Library where you can learn more about the process of applying to both community colleges and four-year college & universities, the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program, schools that are “no loan” or meet financial need, ACT/SAT testing, financial aid & scholarships, ASPIRE, and more! Hard copies of the new AHS College Handbook will be available!
