Kindness Club is happening today at lunch in the IVC.
Mu Alpha Theta will be meeting Today, December 6th at lunch in H-22. We will be planning our Pre-Winter Break Alumni Reunion. All members please attend!
Interested in being part of the AHS Site Council? Site Council is a group of teachers, parents, students, and administrators working together to improve the school. Site Council meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month and plays a key role in driving school improvement by developing and monitoring progress toward our goals. The next meeting will be December 10th from 4-5 pm in the AHS Library.
AHS is hosting a Winter clothing and food drive! Help families in need with new or used clothes and donations of canned food. Donations will be accepted December 9th through 13th. Drop off locations will be at the AHS Main office and the Ashland Police Department. Come to the in-person drop off December 13th at the AHS bus ramp from 4-5 pm for free hot chocolate.
Interested in artificial intelligence? Intrigued by how it could affect our educations and careers? Join the Artificial Intelligence Impact Club next week on Wednesday the 11th in room 205. We will have snacks! Scan the QR code on social media to participate in our student and faculty survey.
The Ashland High Arts Advocates are thrilled to present the 33rd Annual Winter Fine Arts Festival, a showcase of visual and performing arts by AHS students. Taking place Friday, December 13th at 5:30 pm in the Commons, this festive and family friendly evening includes a tasty catered dinner by the culinary arts program, stunning exhibitions by the Fine Arts Programs, followed by a performing arts variety show at 7:00 by music and theater students. November is Indigenous People's month! Did you know that Agnes Baker Pilgrim, also known as Grandma Aggie was born in Grants Pass and was an honored elder of the Takelma tribe, whose ancestral home is where we now stand. Grandma Aggie was the chairperson of the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers who advocate for a return to Indigenous ways to protect the natural resources and children of our planet. She also brought back the Sacred Salmon Ceremony on the Rogue River and founded the Konaway Nika Tillicum Academy at SOU to promote young Indigenous leadership in our valley. If you want to learn more about Grandma Aggie and the first people of Ashland, please visit the Otter Lifter canoe outside of our district office, and consider helping us care for Otter during the winter solstice just before break.
We acknowledge that the sacred land that we live and learn on today belongs to the Takelma, Shasta, Modoc, Klamath & Umpqua peoples. We honor and acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we now call the United States. We recognize the Native American peoples' continuing connection to land, place, waters, and community. Taking place on Friday, December 13, at 5:30 p.m. at Ashland High School in the Cafeteria Commons, this festive and family friendly evening includes a tasty catered dinner by the Culinary Arts Program, stunning exhibitions by the Fine Arts Programs in the Commons Hallway and Theatre Lobby, followed by a Performing Arts Variety Show at 7:00 p.m. with solo and group performances by music and theatre students.

In honor of Indigenous Peoples month, the Native American Student Union is offering sweet fry bread for $3 and T-shirts for $15. We will be outside the office to distribute both this Friday after school. Ask your humanities teacher for a pre order form or swing by the office today!All proceeds will fund future projects and events hosted by NASU.

The CTE club is having a speaker come in during TCB today to talk about career options and opportunities in manufacturing, engineering tech, and entrepreneurial business ventures. If you would like to attend, you MUST request a TCB pass from Mr. Miller or another teacher before 3rd period.
Tonight, November 19th, the AHS Jazz Band will be performing their first concert of the year. The performance will take place at 7pm in the Mountain Avenue theater. The water polo team is having their Spring Preview! Come to the Ashland YMCA pool on Tonight, November 14th at 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm for a fun introduction to water polo. Also, check out the Grizz-O-Gram, Instagram and Facebook for the same information. Deadlines are coming up: The most valuable student scholarship deadline is November 12th.
2024-2025 Yearbooks are available for pre-order! You can order them through the main office or through Jostens at Jostens.com/yearbookbuy. Order before January 5th for the lowest price of the year at $50.

The water polo team is having their Spring Preview! Come to the Ashland YMCA pool on Tuesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 14th at 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm for a fun introduction to water polo. All middle and high school aged players of any skill level are welcome! Spring season will begin in April with more details coming soon. Email ashlandh20@gmail.com for participation information.
Girls Basketball open gyms are Tuesday and Thursday from 5-6PM with an additional weight training on Thursday from 6-7PM. Tryouts will be held on November 18th, 4:30-6:30PM
