Drop off locations will be at the AHS Main office and the Ashland Police Department. Come to the in-person drop off December 13th at the AHS bus ramp from 4-5 pm for free hot chocolate. AHS is also hosting an animal shelter supplies drive from December 9th through 13th. Bring towels, toys, and extra pet supplies to the office, counselors office or library to be donate to the Jackson county animal shelter for the holiday season. The Ashland High Arts Advocates are thrilled to present the 33rd Annual Winter Fine Arts Festival, a showcase of visual and performing arts by AHS students. Taking place Friday, December 13th at 5:30 pm in the Commons, this festive and family friendly evening includes a tasty catered dinner by the culinary arts program, stunning exhibitions by the Fine Arts Programs, followed by a performing arts variety show at 7:00 by music and theater students. Tickets are $15 each, and $5 for students. To learn more, please visit www.ashlandarts.org Seniors, please remember that senior photos are due by January 31st with your senior quotes. No exceptions. If they are not submitted by this date, they will not make it into the yearbook. Announcements - November 25th, 2024 November is Indigenous People's month! Did you know that Agnes Baker Pilgrim, also known as Grandma Aggie was born in Grants Pass and was an honored elder of the Takelma tribe, whose ancestral home is where we now stand. Grandma Aggie was the chairperson of the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers who advocate for a return to Indigenous ways to protect the natural resources and children of our planet. She also brought back the Sacred Salmon Ceremony on the Rogue River and founded the Konaway Nika Tillicum Academy at SOU to promote young Indigenous leadership in our valley. If you want to learn more about Grandma Aggie and the first people of Ashland, please visit the Otter Lifter canoe outside of our district office, and consider helping us care for Otter during the winter solstice just before break.
