Position: Teacher, K-8 Academic Intervention Work Site: Willow Wind Community Learning Center Hours/FTE: 1.0 FTE; Temporary
Job Summary: Willow Wind is a K-8 public alternative program with Ashland School District. The academic intervention teacher will work with students to help improve specific skills and strategies. They will support the individual needs of students within the regular classroom. Working with the classroom teacher, the intervention teacher will help design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child using Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. They will work with the classroom teacher to develop, select and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Good communication skills as well as strong collaboration are required.
Qualifications: Appropriate Oregon Licensure. Ability to teach students of varying backgrounds. Ability to meet job description requirements and district standards for teachers. Bilingual preferred.
