Position: Teacher, Elementary Instructional Coach Work Site: District Office Hours/FTE: 1.0 FTE (8 hours a day); Probationary
Qualifications: Valid Oregon teaching credential authorizing services in elementary education. Minimum five (5) years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience. Ability to meet job description requirements and district standards for teachers.
Job Summary: The Instructional Coach is responsible for bringing evidence-based practices into classrooms by working with and supporting teachers and administration with the goal of increasing student engagement, improving student achievement, and building teacher capacity. The Instructional Coach will work as a colleague with classroom teachers to support student learning. This will focus on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine understanding about researched-based effective instruction and the MTSS process. The Instructional Coach will provide personalized support that is based on the goals and identified needs of individual teachers as identified by student data. Instructional coaches work under the direction of the Director of Programs and in conjunction with building principals.
