Eva Skuratowicz moved to Ashland in 2004 and has two children who attend Ashland schools. She has enjoyed volunteering in their classrooms and assisting with a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Eva has a doctorate in sociology and is the director of the Southern Oregon University Research Center. In her research, she works with local non-profit and governmental organizations and has gained a great deal of knowledge of the Rogue Valley. When she actually has spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking and traveling.
Jim has been involved in education for over twenty-five years. He began his teaching career in the Peace Corps, then continued in Indiana, Illinois and California before moving to Oregon in 2009. Along the way, he taught chemistry, physics and computer science; worked as a high school administrator and technology director; and founded an education software/consulting company. Since moving to Ashland, Jim has volunteered in classrooms throughout the district and served on the site council at Walker Elementary. He holds Oregon teaching and administrator credentials, and earned a masters degree in education administration. He has two children in Ashland's schools, as well as a recent graduate. In his free time, he enjoys chocolate and assigning chores to his children.
Since moving to Ashland in 2013, Sabrina Prud’homme has been active in her children’s education, volunteering at Ashland High School and serving on its Site Council. Sabrina currently serves as the university board secretary to Board of Trustees of Southern Oregon University and is a member of the SOU President’s Cabinet. Dedicated to education and to serving the underserved, the professional experience she is most proud of includes work in higher education, teaching, and non-profit administration. Her expertise also includes public relations and project management. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and graduate coursework in communications. Sabrina and her husband have one child in kindergarten and one who is a recent Ashland High School graduate. Sabrina enjoys dancing, cooking, DIY projects, and spending time with her family.
Victor has lived in Ashland since 2005 and has participated in various community and regional efforts aimed at improving the quality of life for people in the Rogue Valley. He has two children who attend Ashland schools and he has been an active parent in their education. Victor has been a practicing mental health counselor since 2000 and currently teaches at Southern Oregon University in the Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs. In his free time, Victor enjoys hanging out with his family, challenging himself in the outdoors, drinking coffee, and traveling.
Tomas Monter-Rangel has lived in Ashland since 2003. He has a 3rd and a 5th grader currently attending Ashland schools and loves participating in school events and volunteering at their school. Born and raised in Mexico City, Tomas's career has focused on serving the Latino community in the Rogue Valley. He is currently a Multicultural Specialist at Jackson County Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education and worked as an Interpreter/Support Staff at Southern Oregon Child and Family Council for 6 years prior. Tomas has trained and volunteered as a mediator and is a member of the Rogue Valley Latino Interagency Committee (LINC). In his free-time Tomas enjoys coaching his daughter's soccer team, gardening, and going on road trips with his family.
