Personal Education Plan
In order to personalize education at AHS, each student develops a Personal Education Plan (PEP). The goal of the PEP is to have students explore their interests and strengths, set goals and determine their post-high school goals. A student then develops a plan to make the most of their four years in high school to reach that goal. On the first day of conferences each year, students reflect on their progress and present their PEP to a family member and their Advisory.
Parents are partners in this process. Discuss your student's goals and assist them to pursue the courses and community opportunities that will help them reach their goals.
It is not enough to graduate with an AHS diploma. We want our students to have a compelling plan for their next steps after high school.
