Alternative Education Programs
The alternative education teachers at the Ashland High School believe that every child in our classroom is inherently valuable regardless of past (or future) success.
As such, we seek to: 1) develop a personalized education plan with academic excellence as the centerpiece; 2) build upon basic skills while increasing the relevance of the curriculum - making connections between academic concepts and real, human experience; 3) encourage discussions and questions - enhancing critical thinking skills, 4) build community and 5) require accountability from every students within our classrooms.
