AHS Administration proudly presents Parent Academy. This series of informational workshops and networking opportunities is designed to support student success in high school and in life. Parenting is a vital, complex, and humbling occupation. Please mark your calendars to join us as we put the pieces together for student success!

All events feature a panel of experts and a Q&A session from 7:00-8:30PM in the AHS Library.

Monday, September 18 – Open House 6:00-8:30PM (meet in the large gym)
We want all families to attend Open House. Visit your student’s classes; meet teachers and learn how to support your student’s academic achievement.

October 1 –BRAINSTORM: THE POWER AND PURPOSE OF THE TEEN BRAIN by Daniel J.Siegel, MD
Local counselor, Lexi Delgado, will facilitate a parent, student, and staff study of Dr. Siegel’s newest book. Copies are available for purchase in the AHS Main Office and at Parent Academy for $19.25. Students earn community service hours for attending Parent Academy.

November 5–DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Join us as we explore areas of privilege and anti bias language. Where does AHS do well and where do we have work to do? We invite families of all backgrounds to join us for this important dialog and workshop.

At Ashland High School, we believe that diverse ideas and cultures reflect the diversity of the nation, enrich our lives, and serve our educational mission. AHS is committed to diversity in all areas of our work including the strategic recruitment of faculty, staff, and administrators, selection of curriculum materials, and the education of our student body.
