We are very excited about another year of Interscholastic Sports. At AMS we offer a no-cut policy and encourage all students to come out for sports. This is a great opportunity to try something new, make new friends, and be involved in an after school activity. Teams practice daily after school and travel to compete against other middle schools in Southern Oregon. Please read carefully below to see which sports are offered.
NEW this year is ONLINE registration with FamilyID. On our website you will be able to create a family profile and register all your student athletes. This information will make registration easier each year and will also carry with you to high school as well. See the Athletics registration page for the details.
The following sports are offered at AMS:
Fall: Girls Volleyball (7th & 8th graders)
Boys Football (7th & 8th graders)
Boys & Girls Cross Country (6th, 7th & 8th graders)
Winter: Boys & Girls Basketball (7th & 8th graders)
Spring: Boys & Girls Track (6th, 7th & 8th graders)
In order to participate, all athletes must have a sports physical by a physician or a nurse practitioner every two years. A health update form must be completed during the years they donít need the physical. Additionally, all parents and athletes must sign the annual Sports Participation Contract. The required forms are available to pick up at the AMS office.
