Please see the attached PDF document for a visual of math courses available to students in grades 6 through 12. In order to meet state diploma requirements, students in the class of 2014 will need to take 3 years of math at the Algebra level or higher. (The State Board of Education is discussing delaying this requirement but no decision has been made yet.) In order to attend a school in the Oregon University System, students must complete Algebra 2. Students aspiring to attend selective universities should take four years of high school mathematics including studies beyond Algebra 2. If you have questions please contact our Math Specialist, Brent Freeman, at 541-482-1611 x. 194 or brent.freeeman@ashland.k12.or.us
