Principal's Update
Hello Grizzlies,
It has been so great to see students back on campus this week! Students have been so cooperative, open minded and just a pleasure to work with so far. Speaking for myself, it has been energizing to be able to work directly with students again, I know the rest of our staff feels the same.
We know there have been glitches with attendance and we are working those out. We apologize for any mistaken attendance calls that your household may have received this week. We are working through a very different attendance system and there is clearly a learning curve. Things should work smoother next week as we are all more familiar with it and because of the hard work of our IT department and the troubleshooting they have done.
Many of you are are probably already aware that state guidance around hybrid instruction has changed yet again. Social distancing in schools has been reduced from 6 feet to 3 feet and there is now changed guidance around cohorting. Next week, we will be looking closely at the guidance and determining what additional in-person opportunities may be available at AHS.
Remember, next week, our class periods will rotate. Please pay close attention to our schedule. We will also continue to post our daily schedule on our website here.
