Willow Wind's 30 Day Car Free Challenge

Willow Wind's 30 day Car Free Challenge starts Monday October 1st and ends Friday October 26th. According to the EPA, motor vehicles collectively cause 75% of carbon monoxide pollution in the U.S.. The goal of the car free challenge is to recognize and support healthier transportation options. If your child would like to participate, we'll have Car Free Scorecards in the office. Everyday in the 30 day CAR FREE CHALLENGE, circle the way you got to and from school: walk, bus, ride, park&ride, park&walk or roll! For those who live far from Willow Wind, choose the park&ride or park&walk option - just park your car at least a mile from Willow Wind and ride or walk the rest of the way and it counts, same goes for the way home - ride and walk a mile then drive the rest of the way home! Turn scorecard into Dannette by Monday, October 29th. The top 30 kids with the highest total score will get a pizza and ice cream sundae party! (2 possible points every day if you do not use a car to AND from school!)
