AHS - National 'Day of Silence' this Friday, May 18th

AHS will participate in the National 'Day of Silence' this Friday, May 18th. Day of Silence is a 22-year tradition that is observed at high schools and colleges across the nation. Day of Silence allows students to participate in an empathy-awareness experience by remaining silent during the school day to echo the silence experienced by the loss of lives due to intimidation, bullying, suicide, and murder faced by LGBTQ students. At the end of the day, the traditional "Breaking the Silence" celebration will take place on the quad, with live music and food! ...For those that wish to participate, Day of Silence cards and beaded safety pins will be available on the quad at the QSA table during lunches all this week.
